★★★★★

The question bank mirrors the real assessment closely. I felt genuinely prepared walking into the centre — calm, structured content with no fluff.

★★★★★

After failing my first attempt elsewhere, this platform gave me the structure I needed. The worked calculations alone were worth the price.

Ahmed K.
Hospital Pharmacist · Manchester
★★★★★

The mocks replicate the pressure properly. By exam day it felt like I had done it all before — that confidence is what carried me through.

Emma L.
Clinical Pharmacist · Birmingham
★★★★★

Detailed explanations that teach the why, not just the what. Found gaps I did not know I had and closed them before sitting.

James P.
Locum Pharmacist · Leeds
★★★★★

BNF-aligned and law-and-ethics coverage actually matches the framework. No padding. Just clean, deliberate revision.

Nadia C.

★★★★★

Recommended by a colleague who passed first time. The analytics showed exactly where to spend my last fortnight before the assessment.

Frequently asked

Questions about the GPhC exam & this platform

Answers below mirror what the FAQ schema serves to search engines and LLMs — definitive, lead-with-the-answer phrasing.

01What is the Common Registration Assessment (CRA)?
The Common Registration Assessment (CRA) — formerly the GPhC registration assessment — is the licensing exam set by the General Pharmaceutical Council. UK pharmacy graduates must pass it to register and practise as pharmacists. It is two papers sat on one day at a Surpass test centre: 40 calculation questions in Part 1, then 120 multiple-choice questions in Part 2.
02How many questions are on the GPhC exam?
160 questions in total across two papers. Part 1: 40 free-numerical calculation questions over 2 hours. Part 2: 120 multiple-choice questions (90 single best answer + 30 extended matching) over 2.5 hours. From 2026, calculators are permitted in both parts (own model from the GPhC-approved list, or the Surpass on-screen calculator).
03What is the GPhC pass rate?
Pass rates vary by sitting. The June 2025 sitting was 77% overall (80% first-time); the November 2025 sitting was 61.5% overall (60% first-time, 47% third-attempt). The GPhC publishes official statistics after each sitting. PreRegExamPrep is an independent practice platform; we do not publish our own outcome statistics.
04How long should I prepare?
Most candidates study consistently for 8–12 weeks at around 12–15 hours per week alongside foundation training (or 25–30 hours full-time). A common pattern: 4 weeks foundation/therapeutics, 4 weeks question-bank volume with a mistake log, 3 weeks full-paper mocks under timed conditions, then 1 week of routine and rest. Start calculations on day one.
05Is PreRegExamPrep affiliated with the GPhC?
No — PreRegExamPrep is an independent revision platform. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or commissioned by the General Pharmaceutical Council. The GPhC sets the Common Registration Assessment; we provide third-party practice materials aligned to its published framework.
06Can I try it before paying?
Yes. 15 sample questions are available without an account at /try-free, and a longer free demo is available after sign-up. All paid plans include a 7-day money-back guarantee.
07Does it work on mobile?
Yes. The platform is fully responsive across phones and tablets. Progress syncs across devices, so revision started on a desktop continues on mobile without losing question history or analytics.
