Mock Exams — Frequently Asked Questions

How realistic are the mock exams?

The mock exams mirror the 2026 Common Registration Assessment (CRA) format: 160 questions across two papers — 40 free-numerical calculation questions in Part 1 (2 hours), then 120 multiple-choice questions in Part 2 (90 single best answer + 30 extended matching, 2.5 hours).

How many mock exams can I take?

Unlimited full-length mock exams plus topic-specific mini mocks for every paid plan. There is no per-mock or per-attempt limit.

Can I use a calculator?

Yes. From 2026 the GPhC permits calculators in both Part 1 and Part 2 (a candidate's own model from the GPhC-approved list, or the Surpass on-screen calculator). The mocks reflect this. Older guides describing Part 2 as no-calculator are out of date.

Do I get worked answers?

Yes. Every question shows a step-by-step worked answer at the end of the mock, with BNF and BNFC chapter references where relevant. Calculation questions show every working step, not just the final number.

How is performance broken down?

After each mock you receive a topic-by-topic accuracy breakdown across the CRA framework's 15 clinical therapeutic areas, calculations, law and governance, plus pace data, so you can see where time and accuracy are slipping.

When should I sit my first full mock?

A common pattern is to start with the question bank, then sit your first full mock around weeks 9–11 of a 12-week plan, then 1–2 more in the final fortnight under realistic conditions (morning start, full break structure, no phone access).
